Rüster Railway Technology

ICE und Regiozug der deutschen Bahn

Introduction

For several generations, the company Paul Rüster & Co. GmbH has been supporting railway manufacturers and operators worldwide in the development and manufacture of temperature sensors for monitoring engines and transmissions.

In recent years, the demands on the temperature sensors in the various traction systems with regard to the expected service life have increased significantly.

High-quality sensors are essential for reliable temperature evaluation and subsequent evaluation. The associated European and national standards as a specification for the railway manufacturers have been continuously adapted to the social and safety-related issues!

For example, sensors with double temperature detection are now state of the art and enable redundancy in the measurement detection in the vehicle.

As a result, the designs and the choice of materials for the individual components and systems are inextricably linked to the performance characteristics, including vibration and shock resistance and fire protection.

New development

Our company provides support here as early as the development phase of new train generations, from the prototype phase through to verification and validation by the end customer. Product developers in web production and engineers at Paul Rüster & Co. GmbH can draw on a wide portfolio of temperature sensor specifications and develop the most suitable version in terms of price and design.

Rüster has been working with competent partners for the necessary accredited tests for several years and can offer solutions from a single source.

Serial production

After successful validation and FAi approval by the train manufacturer, we are a reliable supplier for series production. Our production department delivers on time to match the work progress of the railway manufacturer and thus enables a smooth manufacturing process.

Maintenance

But we also improve existing specifications for the adaptation of sensors in use to the state of the art. These can then be easily replaced at regular inspection intervals. This increases the functional and driving safety of the existing vehicle fleet of the railway operator.

By reducing repair times or inspection times, the vehicles of the railway operators can be used more continuously.

In recent years, the demands on the temperature sensors in the various traction systems with regard to the expected service life have increased significantly.

Thus, the construction and provision of temperature sensors combined with an uncomplicated and quick exchange is in the main interest of the operator.
