Data is considered personal if it can be clearly assigned to a specific natural person. Below, we provide an overview of how we ensure the protection of your personal data and the types of data collected and for what purpose on our website.
1. Hosting and Server Logfiles
Our website is hosted by our data processor IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. To monitor technical functionality and increase operational security, this host automatically collects and stores information in server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of server request
- IP address
We process this data for the following purposes:
- Ensuring a smooth connection setup of the website
- Ensuring comfortable use of our website
- Evaluation of system security and stability
- Additional administrative purposes
These data cannot be assigned to specific persons. No merging of this data with other data sources is carried out. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its purpose. For data collected to provide the website, this is done when the session ends. Data stored in log files is deleted after a maximum of seven days unless extended storage is required, in which case the IP addresses are anonymized.
The collection of data for website provision and storage in log files is essential for website operation. Therefore, users cannot object to this.
The legal basis for data processing is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR, which permits data processing for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
2. Contact by Email and Contact Form
When you contact us by email or via a contact form, we store the data you provide (your email address, possibly your name and telephone number) to respond to your inquiry. Any information not required for contact is marked as optional and serves to specify your request and streamline processing. Such information is provided voluntarily and with your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). If you provide communication channels (such as email, telephone number), you consent to us potentially contacting you via these channels to answer your request. This consent may be revoked at any time.
Data entered in the contact form remains with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent, or the data storage purpose no longer applies (e.g., after processing your request). Mandatory legal provisions, particularly retention periods, remain unaffected.
3. Google Analytics
Upon your consent, we process your data with Google Analytics, a service by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (parent company: Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to analyze errors and evaluate our website statistically. Not granting consent does not affect website functionality but may hinder our website’s further development. Consent can be withdrawn anytime via our cookie consent tool.
Google Analytics collects connection data, browser data, and data about the accessed content. This data is anonymized upon collection and provided to us in statistical form. We use these statistics for troubleshooting and website improvement. Data on your device is stored for up to two years.
4. Google Fonts
Our site uses Google Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) for consistent font display. Your browser loads Google Web Fonts into its cache to display text and fonts correctly. Google thus learns that our website was accessed via your IP address. Using Google Web Fonts serves our interest in a unified, appealing online presence (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
If your browser doesn’t support Web Fonts, a standard font is used. Further information about Google Web Fonts is available at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
