Contact temperature sensor
In systems in which no direct media temperature measurement is possible, contact temperature sensors with various sensors (Pt-100, Pt-1000 and others on request) are used. Basically, the surface temperature is measured with these temperature sensors.
A major advantage is, among other things, the simple installation on a wide variety of constructions.
Typical applications are measurements on pipes made of different materials with different diameters. But straight surfaces are also suitable for surface measurement.
Maximum contact between the surface to be measured and the contact sensor is crucial for meaningful measurement results. The type of material and the thermal conductivity can result in different temperature differences to the medium, which must be taken into account.
