Slot resistance thermometer

Slot resistance thermometers are used to measure the winding temperature in the stator of generators or electric motors.

NWT’s can be equipped with platinum thin-film measuring resistors (chip) or also be manufactured as a wound variant. The chip variant records the temperature at specific points in a very small area, since the temperature-sensitive length of the thin-film resistor is just a few millimeters. The coiled variant records the average temperature over the entire active length of the sensor.

Dimensions depend on the stator and can be adapted to the different slot sizes.
